Tuesday's Tool, Technique, or Tutorial...

Today it's a tutorial on how to make this cute baby card.
Below you will see a picture of the items you will need to make these diaper pins from SU! Punches.
You will need: a regular 5 1/2 x 4 1/4" card from Bashful Blue. A piece of So Saffron 5 1/2" x 1 1/2" that has been scalloped at the bottom and then punched in each scallop with 1/16" hole punch and stamped with a sentiment. You will also need scraps of Silver, Pretty in Pink, So Saffron, and Bashful Blue for the diaper pins. And finally a piece of Bashful Blue 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon about 12 -13 inches long.

For the pins: Take your silver scrap of CS (cardstock) and punch your smallest oval punch. Then go back with your larger oval oval punch and punch directly over the top of the smaller oval punch creating the outline of the diaper pin. Then with the silver CS, with a regular 1/4" hole punch, punch a hole in the silver. Then go back with your 3/4" hole punch and punch right over the top of it creting your circle at the bottom of the pin. Then on your colored CS, take the small oval and punch out, then the large oval over the top of that (your doing the same thing with the colored CS to make the pin tops that you did with the silver CS for the body of the pin) Just take scissors and cut a portion for the pin top as seen in this picture with the Bashful Blue. Once you have all three pieces punched out you can assemble your diaper pin with your SU! Two-Way Glue Pen. I hope you have a blast making these cute cards with this punch technique!

HAPPY CREATING,
KENDRA
