Tuesday's Technique, Tool, or Tutorial...

Today's Tutorial is on using the new Decorative Label Punch (Holiday Mini Catalog) and being able to layer it like on the card below. So make sure to scroll down and see the picture tutoria on how to do this to create a great look on your projects.

Decorative Label Punch
#120907
$16.95
We can’t get enough of labels, and our new extra large Decorative Label punch has arrived just in time for creating cunning Christmas tags and holiday accents for all kinds of projects. It just doesn’t get any easier than punching. Use this new punch with Designer Series paper for quick but luxurious Christmas tag backgrounds or with stamped images to frame meaningful greetings and messages on cards and scrapbook pages.
■ Low-profile, rectangular punch body allows for easier stacking and storing
■ Punches lock shut for easier storage and transport
■ Dual labels on top and end allow for easy identification and selection when stored
■ New punches allow for larger punched images and more intricate designs while providing greater ease of use
■ Larger, whole-hand handle design provides better leverage for easier use
■ Available in an exclusive Stampin' Up! color
■ Coordinates with images in the Tags til Christmas stamp set
To Begin - you will need to punch (1) in White & (2) in Black. You can choose your own colors as well. Next take your paper trimmer and trim your (2) black pieces as shown in picture below.

You will throw away the two center pieces of the blacks - you won't need them.

Pull out your Two Way Glue Pen and start gluing the pieces. (see below)

I started with the two longest pieces (top & bottom)

Then glued the sides.

Your layered punch piece should now look like this. Below you will see how I used it on my card and a close up of the card banner.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have fun getting the most out of your punches!

Monday's Big Shot Project Idea...

I have made another treat/gift holder to share with you today. On Septemebr 20th, I shared my very first video tutorial with you which featured a Halloween Treat Holder. If you missed the video...you can view it by clicking HERE. This is just another take on that same idea using the Big Shot and the Two Tags Bigz Die, but getting a completely different look by using different products.

A close up on the tag, which I used the Modern Label Punch and then just slightly folded over the top and used an antique brad. I then threaded my Linen Thread through the opening to be able to hang it.

A close up of the side and the antique embellishments & ribbons I used.
Another picture of the final project. What friend wouldn't LOVE to get a treat packaged up like this!
Enjoy and have a terrific Monday.

SUNDAY SHARE...

I hope your enjoying your weekend! Today I wanted to share a wedding card I created. I first used my BIG SHOT to emboss my papers with the different folders (Elegant Boquet & Perfect Polka Dots). I also punched an opening using the new Extra Large Decorative Label Punch, which can be found in the Holiday Mini Catalog. I took a length of approx. 8" of Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon and with my sewing machine, created a running stitch down the middle. I tied one side of the thresd off and then pulled one of the threads from the other side to create a gathering for a different look.
The sets I used on this card were;
Curvy Verses & Tiny Tags
Some of the embellishments I used were;
Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon, Linen Thread, Med. Jewlery Tag Punch, Extra Large Decorative Label Punch, Basic Pearls, & Vintage Trinkets.
Inks I used;
Early Espresso, Crumb Cake

Tuesday's Technique, Tool, or Tutorial...

Today I have another video tutorial for you.

You may have noticed that I have been making cards with a sponged moon/sun in the background. The last few day's posts have had this in common. The video I'm sharing with you today is of a card/technique that I demonstrated this month in my clubs called Moonlight Highlight.

I still have not figured out how to get the size of the video to work in "blogger"...so if you click HERE you can view the video of how to create this card.
